Christian Fincher

Christian Fincher is a graduate of the Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies program at Stanford’s Graduate School of Education. Christian’s capstone project examined promising practices for expanding access to dual enrollment programs for historically and geographically underserved students. His research interests range from college access and success initiatives to sustainability and environmental education. At SIHER, Christian is a research assistant with Professor Patricia Gumport on a comparative case study examining university research initiatives that address societal problems and involve collaboration beyond higher education.

Before Stanford, Christian worked in the financial aid office at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. He also served as a College Success Coach with the West End House Boys & Girls Club, where he guided students through the transition from high school to post-secondary education. Christian received his undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature with a minor in Environmental Studies from the University of Chicago. His work examined the intersections of literature, ecology, climate change, and the ethics of sustainability.
